Rollingwood Farm was established in 1975 when Dr. and Mrs. Robert Moore, along with Charles Ethier, began their dream to build a small Arabian horse breeding farm in Slatersville, Rhode Island.  Over the next few years Rollingwood Farm bred many National winning purebred and half Arabians.

After years of successful breeding and showing, there were changes in the Arabian industry that resulted in Rollingwood Farm’s emphasis expanding to include amateurs who wanted to enjoy and be successful in their journey of owning and showing on a local and National level.

As Rollingwood Farm grew, Charlie was fortunate to become friends with many of the leading professional trainers in the Arabian industry who were generous in sharing their experiences and techniques.  That guidance and education has helped influence much of Rollingwood’s growth and accomplishments over the years.

Rollingwood Farm has produced many happy, successful horse and rider teams in English, Country, Western, Hunter and Sport Horse and welcomes the opportunity to work with, and have fun with, riders heading for the show ring, or those who just enjoy learning what the Arabian breed is all about.  All breeds are welcome!

With a business degree from Johnson & Wales University, as well as being a member of the Rhode Island Horseman’s Association, Delegate for Region 16 AHA, NEHC Judge, and member of UPHA an APHA, Charles has guided Rollingwood Farms from its humble beginnings to a successful business in local, Regional and National levels in all disciplines.
